Alongside basic research and the provision of research infrastructure, knowledge transfer is a central focus of the Leibniz Center for Contemporary History in Potsdam (ZZF). As a member of the Leibniz Association, the ZZF conducts research on topics in contemporary history and issues of concern to society. The institute makes its knowledge available to policymakers, the business community, academia, the media, and the general public.
The ZZF communicates its research program and findings to its target audiences through various formats. Knowledge transfer always involves an exchange from which everyone benefits. The institute contributes through teaching as well as through collaborations with universities, other academic institutions, and educational and community centers—both locally and regionally, as well as nationwide and internationally.
