The specialist portal  zeitgeschichte | online (z|o) has been online since 2004 and is primarily addressed to contemporary historians, students of the humanities and a broad public interested in contemporary history. The portal provides information on new research trends and current debates in the field of contemporary history. It takes up social discussions and problems and contributes to their historical contextualisation.

During the internship, you will familiarise yourself with the ZZF in Potsdam, take part in colloquia and events, and complete an internship in the editorial department.
Your tasks will include researching new topics and authors and managing the portal’s social media accounts. You will be involved in the daily discussions about the search for topics and the design of the portal.
Ongoing tasks will include maintaining the homepage, researching images and incorporating new content and topics. You will be familiarised with the CMS Drupal in order to create and publish articles independently. However, before publishing, texts must be acquired and edited and communication with the authors about the respective versions must take place.

The internship requires 20 hours per week, so we are looking for applicants from the Brandenburg and Berlin area.
Please send applications (cover letter, CV and details of the desired internship period) by e-mail only to: bewerbung [at] zzf-potsdam [dot] de (bewerbung[at]zzf-potsdam[dot]de)
Please refrain from attaching certificates or grades. However, we are interested in references for volunteer work, jobs held during your studies, and internships.
Annette Schuhmann will be happy to answer any questions about internships in the editorial department of zeitgeschichte | online (z|o).
