Internationalization

The ZZF maintains a global network of relationships with a broad range of institutions and disciplines. Renowned for its international research, the ZZF brings together resources, researchers, and institutions to conduct cutting-edge research in contemporary history.

Our internationalization strategy at the ZZF focuses on people, communication, cooperation, and support. By people, we mean individual researchers as well as relationships among scholars and with a broader public. By communication, we mean the discussion and publication of scholarly work in a broad variety of media, ranging from social media and live-streamed discussion formats to professional journals and monographs. By cooperation, we mean the creation of long-term relationships with institutions around the world, thereby enabling new perspectives and research opportunities in contemporary history. And by support, we mean facilitating international exchange by means of funding and logistical support to ensure that international scholars can conduct award-winning research together with the ZZF.
