The four series of publications of the ZZF take up current issues of contemporary history, politics, economy, society, education and culture. In addition to the two series ‘Geschichte der Gegenwart’ and ‘Medien und Gesellschaftswandel im 20. Jahrhundert’ published by Wallstein Verlag, there is also the series ‘Kommunismus und Gesellschaft’, which is published by Ch. Links Verlag, and the series ‘Zeithistorischen Studien’ published by Böhlau.
The thematic and methodological diversity of the projects located at the ZZF also leads to publication venues beyond the publication series. The research results of the ZZF are published as books by other renowned publishers.
The Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam (ZZF) is committed to Open Access.
Articles by ZZF researchers can be found on their profile pages, in the ZZF's annual reports and in the ZZF Potsdam library catalog.
In addition, Zeithistorische Forschungen/Studies in Contemporary History (ZF/SCH) is a peer-reviewed journal on questions of contemporary history in a German, European and global dimension. The editors are Frank Bösch and Martin Sabrow. The journal is published in an identical issue online in open access and in a print edition by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht .
