Services

The ZZF library is open to the public as a reference library. Both the print collection and the journals and databases licensed by the ZZF can be consulted in the reading rooms. The library team offers library introductions as well as help with researching scientific literature.

A MediaLab is available for viewing and digitising historical data storage devices such as audio tapes, diapositives or vinyl records, which can be used for scientific purposes after prior registration.

A book scanner and a microfilm scanner are also available for use.

Library regulations and schedule of fees

The ZZF's special library is a reference library in the centre of Potsdam and is open to all interested parties. It can be used during opening hours without registration.

Researchers employed at the ZZF may borrow items and use the library's extended services, such as interlibrary loans. By issuing a user card and using the library, you accept the terms of use and fees of the library of the Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam (in German). Please note the library's privacy policy.

Employees of the ZZF can create a user account in the library. The account can be viewed via the OPAC. It records the loans of ZZF media. Online renewals are not possible. Interlibrary loans are managed separately.
