Beginn des Projektes: December 2021

A Publication Platform for eBooks in Open Access Gold
zdbooks (together with Frederike Heinitz and Caroline Boisten)

With zdbooks (https://zdbooks.de), the ZZF has put online a new publication platform on which eBooks appear in open access gold. Monographs, anthologies, and readers are made available worldwide without restrictions; the first publication is online. zdbooks is a pilot project and part of the ZZF's online offering Zeitgeschichte digital.
The first digital book has been available since December 2021: "Echt inszeniert. Historical Authenticity and Media in Modernity." The anthology, edited by Christoph Classen, Achim Saupe and Hans-Ulrich Wagner, uses the potentials offered by the online format for an integration of audiovisual sources into scholarly publication. Therefore, the visual as well as the cinematic and auditory sources to which the authors* refer become an integrative part of the presentation.
