The Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam invites you to the institute colloquium in the winter semester 2026/27 on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. c.t. in the Large Seminar Room, Am Neuen Markt 9d (unless otherwise stated). Each speaker will present for 45 minutes, followed by a moderated discussion.
The colloquium begins on November 12 with a lecture by Helmut Walser Smith (Vanderbilt University/WiKo). During the eleven events in the 2026/27 winter semester, scholars from Germany and abroad will present their projects and discuss them with the audience. Through this colloquium, the ZZF provides a forum for testing new approaches to contemporary history, stimulating critical debate, and fostering networking within the contemporary history community. The colloquium is moderated by a researcher from the ZZF Potsdam.
External guests are welcome online and can participate without registration via Zoom. Link and login information for participating in the Zoom meeting will be published on this page in a timely manner.
