In the PhD Colloquium, ZZF doctoral students and, in some cases, doctoral students from abroad present their research projects on contemporary history. In Master Classes, internationally renowned experts discuss the overarching aspects of individual dissertation projects. In the writing workshops, historical writing is practiced on the basis of concrete excerpts from the dissertation projects. In addition, there are workshops on content, methodology and theory.
