Workshop language: English

This exploratory workshop wants to explore Cuba through Eastern European eyes, applying the research experience on the European communism to a socialism that is still active in its most structural aspects. By presenting some new projects, we also want to think about where historical research on communist Cuba can go in the global context. The seminar is aimed at all those interested in the history of Cuba, the Caribbean, state socialisms in general and exchanges between East, West and Global South.
