This project examines how Belgian and Dutch economic and diplomatic actors perceived and engaged with the industrial Donbas, Kryvyi Rih, and Black Sea littoral, and how these commercial and industrial entanglements shaped their responses as the region became politically contested and claimed as Ukrainian national space.
