ERC-Projekt „Perestroika from Below“
The research project focuses on the wide range of grassroots peace and nonviolence initiatives that flourished at that time. It explores how the peace initiatives anticipated perestroika, prepared the ground for it, and how grassroots peace activism coexisted with peace initiatives from above, and how the impetus for perestroika developed in the 1990s.
