DDR im Schmalfilm

The portal "Die DDR im Schmalfilm" is an extension of the Open Memory Box, which was created as a sub-project of the BMBF joint project “The Media Heritage of the GDR”. On the portal, researchers from various disciplines present their perspectives on private small-gauge film recordings from the former GDR in the form of numerous essays. The contributions offer a view from the current research perspective and a well-founded contextualization of the private recordings.
