Research and exhibition project

Fotografien der langen Wende focusses on little-known images of the East German transformation process. The exhibition examines the upheaval of 1989/90 in the context of the late GDR and the early 1990s. This research and exhibition project addresses the conditions under which these photographs were created, the pictorial traditions and ruptures of the time, and invites critical reflection on the visual memory of the long history of the fall of communism.

The project is being worked on jointly by Dr. Isabel Enzenbach and Dr. Anja Tack at the ZZF Potsdam.
