Der amerikanische Historiker Scott Krause wird für seine Dissertation „Outpost of Freedom“ mit dem Willy-Brandt-Preis für Zeitgeschichte 2017 ausgezeichnet. Die Preisverleihung findet im Jahr 2018 statt. Das gab die Bundeskanzler-Willy-Brandt-Stiftung in einer Pressemitteilung heute bekannt. Scott Krause ist seit 12. Januar dieses Jahres am ZZF Potsdam in Abteilung IV "Regime des Sozialen" Visiting Fellow und wird dort bis Ende 2017 an seinem Dissertationsthema "Locating West Berlin in German History: Charting the Confluence of Global and Local in Cold War Berlin, 1945-1990" arbeiten.
